The Sarlat countryside slowly appears with its robe of crimson and gold.  A soft light caresses the golden stone of the town’s walls and buildings.  One cannot escape the tranquility of autumn in the Perigord.    It’s the season blessed with painters, photographers, mushroom pickers…. of those smitten with nature.

By mid-November, every year, the Film Festival imposes upon the town its prestigious image.  The roads are filled with film students, directors, actors, film enthusiasts…. who stroll, relate, exchange with each other, creating an almost childlike atmosphere.
